Wool Pellets - a smart sustainable choice for your garden & plants

Made from 100% Canadian sheep wool, our wool pellets are an all-natural, renewable and environmentally friendly soil amendment. Wool has the remarkable ability to hold up to 20X its weight in moisture, slowly releasing it back into the soil-making it ideal for improving moisture retention.

As the pellets breakdown, they expand and increase soil porosity. This creates space for roots to grow deeper and stronger, promoting healthier plant development and reducing the need for synthetic additives. In turn, this helps build richer, more resilient soil.

By using our wool pellets, you're also helping divert waste wool from landfills and returning valuable nutrients back to the earth. Whether you're caring for house plants, outdoor containers, hanging baskets, raised beds, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, trees, or shrubs - choosing Canadian Wool Pellets is a smart, sustainable decision for your plants and the planet!

Why Wool Pellets

Wool pellets break down more evenly and quickly in the soil than wool in the raw form, providing a consistent slow-release source of nitrogen while improving water retention and soil aeration—without the clumping and decomposition issues raw wool can cause.

Wool fibers expand and contract with moisture - this "smart" behaviour helps regulate water availability in the root zone.

Wool acts like a mini thermal blanket undergrown - keeping soil cool in summer and warmer in early spring or fall, helping extend the growing season.

Wool binds with heavy metals and toxins in the soil, detoxifying contaminated soils over time.

Wool  contains lanolin and keratin, both of which are naturally resistant to rot and help suppreess soils pathogens and fungi.

"My usually neglected-looking house plants are so thankful for your Canadian Wool Pellets. They are getting a natural fertilizer, and the wool pellets are retaining water to the point that they aren't begging for water even after two weeks. They look great and are much happier and healthier! Huge thumbs up! Love your wool pellets!

With raised beds, keeping moisture in the soil is tough, but the wool pellets made a big difference. I use them with my peppers and herbs, and not only did they thrive, but I barely had to water during the hotter weeks.
